This magnificent Red Stag was hunted in March 2008 by Gail Cook.

It is rated as the world's number one Red Stag taken by a female hunter. This stag scored 588 SCI by an NZ master measurer. It has been disputed to measure 570 on a difference of where the inside span is measured. We will stay with the lodgic that the inside span is where the wider points of the curve inside the main beams are. This score remains unofficial and to the best of our knowledge is still the biggest Red Stag taken by a female hunter on the SCI system. It also weighed 37lbs.
